Bourke – Broken Hill – Forbes – Lake Cargelligo – Narromine. Funded by The Department of Family and Community Services, the Families NSW program is delivered in Bourke (with outreach to Enngonia), Broken Hill (with outreach to Menindee and Wilcannia), Forbes (with outreach to Parkes and Peak Hill), Lake Cargelligo and Narromine (with outreach to Trangie). The Families NSW program targets families with children aged 0-8 years by providing a wide range of activities including parent education programs, supported playgroups, peer support groups, individual support and community projects.

CentaCare’s Parent Child Services provide services to families with children with an early intervention and prevention approach. Parent Child Services support parents and cares in: Raising their children through parent education and one on one support Participating in early learning opportunities through playgroups Accessing helpful information about child development, parenting, support services and resources Becoming part of support networks Connecting to other services that can help Our family workers are accredited parent educators and offer parent education and support on an individual basis as well as in group settings. Parent Education programs include; 123 Magic, Triple P, Circle of Security, Parents As Teachers, Childbirth Education and Bringing Up Great Kids. Group activities include community based playgroups, school based playgroups, mums and bubs groups and peer support groups. One on one support is available to individuals and families and are delivered at our office or in the home. Funded by the Department of Social Services, the Men and Family Relationship Services program can assist with maintaining positive family relationships, especially during times of change – when you are forming new relationships, following the birth of a child, during separation and divorce, when re-partnering and retiring. The service provides: Male centred – family focused engagement Relationship support for individuals, couples and families Support with managing challenging adolescent behaviour Individual and group parenting education Activities for fathers and their children Solution focused – strength based support Promotion of healthy relationships through awareness and education Access to resources, information and support networks
